Safety Topic for July - Summer Storms

South Pittsburgh has struggled for years, especially recently, with the ongoing problem of flooding and property damage along the Route 51 corridor. When severe storm bursts roll through, like the ones we saw a couple weeks ago, lives can be put at risk due to flash flooding or falling trees. Please remember to stay safe during storms:

· Turn Around, Don't Drown.

· Check local news sites for up-to-date storm and flooding information.

· When thunder roars, move indoors.

· Move to higher ground.

· Evacuate if instructed to do so.
