Our Team at Donnelly-Boland and Associates
Fay Boland, CPA

Fay Boland, President of Donnelly-Boland and Associates is a
CPA with over 26 years of non-profit and government accounting experience. She
also has a master’s degree in taxation from
Robert Morris University.
Prior to establishing Donnelly-Boland & Associates in 1992, Fay worked as a
consultant with Great Lakes Behavioral Institute. From 1980 through May 1991,
she held positions of increasing responsibility – culminating in the position of
Assistant Deputy in the Accounting Division – within the Allegheny County
Controllers Office; the Controllers Office budgeted and controlled annual
expenditures in excess of $500 million each year for the second largest County
in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
She has vast experience in starting up new programs and has worked with
numerous agencies to become the payment agent for various fund sources. Fay is
also the elected Tax Collector for the School District
and Borough of Brentwood.

Kevin Boland,
CPA
Kevin Boland is a CPA with over 26 years of non-profit and
government accounting experience. He also has a master’s degree from
Robert Morris University in Nonprofit Management.
Prior to joining Donnelly-Boland and Associates, Kevin was a partner with the
international accounting and consulting firm, KPMG LLP, where he was responsible
for providing a variety of professional services to numerous government and
nonprofit agencies. Kevin participates annually in a major audit and consulting
engagement for a large governmental entity.

Bobbe Grandey
Bobbe Grandey, the firm’s MIS Director, is an IT
professional with more than 34 years in the field. She has extensive experience
in hardware, software, and IT services procurement, file management procedures,
facilities management, disaster recovery, and training users with varying
degrees of capabilities.
In addition, she has a working knowledge of IT security procedures, database
design and maintenance, PBX systems, LANs, WANs, and premises wiring. Her
strengths are expressed in her interpersonal skills.

Susan Levi, CPA
Susan Levi is a CPA and the
firm’s Chief Financial Officer with over 10 years experience in the financial
accounting and operations of small businesses, nonprofit organizations and
government agencies, with expertise in grants management.
Prior to joining Donnelly-Boland and
Associates in 1999, she was the controller for an international importer for
five years. Susan began her career at KPMG, the international accounting and
consulting firm.

William Murtaugh
William Murtaugh is an accomplished Assistant Controller at
Donnelly-Boland & Associates. He provides accounting services for multiple
clients, managing tasks such as closing general ledgers, preparing monthly
financial statements, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, supporting
spreadsheets and account analysis, and quantifying routine and non-routine
transactions and journal entries.
William also prepares monthly reports, analysis and supporting details to
evaluate the accuracy of account balances, investigates unusual activity and
corrects errors for clients. He also participates in audits for larger clients.
William combines a keen eye for excellence with experience that spans over 30
years.

Jamie Scherich, CPA
Jamie Scherich is a CPA with strong accounting and computer
backgrounds. He earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from
Pennsylvania
State
University
and is a certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor. Formerly, he worked for an accounting
and consulting firm in Washington, PA where his assignments required
strength in accounting software experience and an ability to train software
users.
Jamie serves as an Assistant Controller for Donnelly-Boland & Associates and
provides the firm’s clients with transition assistance, accounting support and
training. His areas of expertise are with small businesses, nonprofits and
government agencies.

Mary Soroka
Mary Soroka is the Chief Operating Officer of Donnelly-Boland and Associates.
She has worked directly for or as a consultant to governments and
government-funded organizations during a career that has spanned nearly 25
years. During consulting assignments, she has been able to gain hands-on
knowledge of the accounting software, account and agency structures and lead
training and development processes towards improvement and efficiency.
With her vast knowledge of accounting systems, she plays an integral part in
system analysis, redesign and improvement for both Donnelly-Boland and many of
our consulting clients. She has assisted clients in the wake of
resignations and other staffing gaps, by quickly learning systems, training
existing staff and recruiting replacements.
Her past experience with a variety of clients also will be valuable in the Grant
Management area to draw closure to expired funding sources, process closing
entries and submit required closing documents to HUD. At Donnelly-Boland,
she is currently consulting on other similar assignments involving grant funding
and reporting, for such funds through complex automated financial systems.
In her consulting role with Donnelly-Boland, Mary has been part of our team
responsible for helping a major local government implement a new ERP system that
includes general ledger, contract management and grant management systems that
provide accurate reporting to facilitate compliance with funding requirements.
She has extensive experience in process documentation and training.
She previously worked with the YWCA from 1992 to 1996 as the Director of the
Subsidized Child Care Division and with the Allegheny County Controller’s Office
from 1985 to 1992 rising to the rank of Manager of Accounting Systems. She
has had responsibility for the operational and systems aspects of the accounting
function in each of these positions. She also has had extensive experience
with grant funded programs and with coordinating the activities of the
accounting function with user groups.

Roxane Wergin
Roxane Wergin, Director of Marketing and Communications for
Donnelly-Boland and Associates, holds a bachelor’s degree in business
administration/marketing from California University of Pennsylvania. She began
her career with one of the largest ad agencies in Pittsburgh, Marc Advertising,
and worked as an independent communications consultant for 11 years with core
competencies in project management, strategic planning, business development,
public relations, research and analysis, writing and editing, budget forecast
and control, creative leadership, and graphic design and print production
management.
With over 17 years of experience in the marketing and communications
industries, she has collaborated with a diverse group of clients, including
nonprofits, government agencies, small businesses and multi-billion dollar
corporations. Roxane has developed and implemented marketing strategies and
campaigns, from conception to completion, on local, national and global
platforms.

Michael Wilson,
CPA
Mike Wilson, CPA specializes in assessing accounting, financial reporting and
internal control processes for clients, and has significant experience with
corporate and individual income tax preparation. He earned a bachelor's degree
in business administration from West Virginia University and a master of
accountancy degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute (Virginia Tech) with a
concentration in taxation and governmental accounting.
After a number of years with the international accounting and consulting
firm, Deloitte and Touche LLP, he spent several years with Highmark Blue Cross
Blue Shield and PTC Alliance, where he was involved with financial accounting
and reporting and corporate taxation. Mike also served as an audit and tax
manager with a local CPA office, where his clients were from sectors such as
school districts, nonprofits, construction, and health care organizations.
His experience in both public and private accounting enables him to easily
understand a client’s individual needs and to develop a customized approach that
meets those needs.

Roni Wise
Roni Wise is an accomplished management professional with over nine years of
mental health and human resources experience. She earned a bachelor's degree in
psychology from Thiel College and a master's in business administration degree
from the University of Phoenix. Roni also holds CPRP and CCDP certifications as
well. She has been in executive level
management positions for the past eight years and has worked on a wide variety
of projects from research and development to program implementation.
Her appointments have required creative problem solving, proactive thinking
and the ability to communicate effectively with various personalities at all
levels of management in both nonprofit and for profit organizations.
Roni is the Human Resources Manager for Donnelly-Boland and Associates and is
responsible for the operation and management of the human resources department.
She manages nine target areas for the firm: records management, benefits
administration, orientation, employee relations/communications, performance
management, compensation, recruiting/retention, employee work life balance and
learning/training/development. Roni provides human resources consulting to two
of our largest clients, who outsource this entire function to Donnelly-Boland
and Associates.
