Schools and Sports
Outside the social service arena, we support our local schools and a variety of youth sports programs. We have been a long-standing participant in the Education Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) Program of Pennsylvania’s Department of Community and Economic Development as well as its more recent Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit program. We recommend these programs to our clients who have an interest in contributing cost-effectively to their local schools and assist them in completing the application process. We also support teams, organizations, and clubs of our local schools and communities.
Our “Community Asset”
It’s perhaps fitting, given our business and civic focus, that our headquarters are located in a Catholic school building – the former St. Wendelin School in Baldwin. The building’s gym is still fully functional, and used by many community groups and local sports leagues.
The gym is available for rental at favorable rates.
The gym is most often used for basketball and volleyball, but has also been used as an offseason practice space for baseball, softball, dance, and cheerleading. The gym also has a stage with lighting and a sound system.
